A hand-shaped attachment for your rear window-wiper letting you wave 'thanks' and 'hello' - making our roads a happier place to drive!

My sister Liza and I were driving. We slowed to let someone merge in front of us, but the person never waved thank you.

They didn't acknowledge us, like we had acknowledged them. We started talking about how much it affects our mood when drivers don't wave thank you.

Tyler: "It would be funny to make a hand that attached to our rear windshield wiper so people couldn't ignore us saying thank you."

Liza: "You should do that!"

So I did.

The Wiper Wave has come a long way since the first one I bent out of wire, but the intent is still the same: making our roads a happier place to drive!

The Wiper Wave will be made using a thermoplastic.  It will be UV and weather resistant so the pigment and structure will not degrade from being in the sun or rain.

The Wiper Wave will be manufactured using a technique called injection molding. In this process material is fed into a heated barrel, mixed, then forced into a mold cavity, where it hardens to the configuration of the cavity.
