I forgot my password, what do I do?

It's a bummer, but, you know, forgetting happens to the best of us. If you can't remember your password, just go to the log in screen and click “Forgot your password?” Enter your email address and we'll send you a link to reset it. Phew, crisis averted.

How do I change my password?

Head to your Account Settings, scroll down until you see the Password section, then click Change Password. You'll be prompted to enter your current password, then you can create a new one. Confirm it by typing your new password a second time, click Save Password, and find someone to high five. You did it!

Can I change the email I use to sign in to Vimeo?

Sure thing, chicken wing. Head to your Account Settings and click Add another email. To use that new email as your main address for logging in and receiving notification emails, check the box next to “Make this my default email address.” Then save those sweet changes.



We'll send you an electronic mail message to verify your new email address and then you'll be good to go.

Can I sign in with more than one email address?

Yes, but not all at the same time. You can add multiple email addresses to use when signing into your Vimeo account, but your email notifications will be sent only to your primary email address.

To add another email address, head to your Account Settings, then click Add another email address to do just that. Check the box next to “Make this my default email address” if that's what you want to do, then click Save Changes. You’re well on your way to sustaining those multiple personalities.

Do I have to use my real name when I sign up?

Not at all, although we do encourage it. Most members do use their real name or a nickname, though this is not a requirement.

Whatever name you choose is displayed on your Profile, and this is how people in the community address you. You can always change your username in your Account Settings.

Why do I get so many emails from Vimeo? How can I choose which notifications I’d like to receive?

We send you emails so you can stay up to date with what's happening in our world. And because we love you. And because we're chatty. If someone comments on your video, or follows you, we send you an email to let you know.

If you'd rather not get so many emails, you can always change your notification settings in the Advanced tab of your Account Settings. Don't forget to save!

Can I link my Vimeo account with my Facebook or Twitter account?

Yep. You can link your Vimeo account to Facebook and Twitter to share your likes and uploads with your followers. Go to the Apps tab of your Account Settings and follow the prompts — your accounts will be connected ASAP.

How do I delete my account?

Say it ain't so! If you insist on breaking our hearts, hover your mouse over Me in the top navigation bar, then click My Settings. Scroll down until you see the “Account Status” section and follow the steps for deleting. We'll miss you.
