Helen Ruth Paschall was born September 20, 1922, in Decatur, to Odie and Edith Boyd. She entered into heaven on October 16, 2014.

Helen married Frank Paschall of Bridgeport on March 19, 1946, in San Antonio. She worked in courthouses in both Decatur and Fort Worth and then in 1959 she and Frank purchased Moore's 5 & 10 store in Decatur. Helen and Frank owned and operated Paschall's on the Decatur square for twenty years.

After Frank's death in 1999, Helen moved to Denton to be near her daughter and son-in-law. She enjoyed being close to her two granddaughters and their husbands and she especially loved her three great-grandchildren.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; two brothers, Bill Boyd and Bob Boyd; and one sister, JoAnne Grissom.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Ginny, and husband, James Thomason, of Denton; granddaughters, Melissa and Travis East, Kimberley and Michael Ventrca; and three great-grandchildren, Logan and Whitley Ventrca and Emma East. She is also survived by her brother, Jack and wife Carolyn Boyd of Plano; sister-in-law, Mary Helen Boyd of Decatur; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends both in Decatur and Denton.

Funeral service will be at DeBerry Funeral Chapel in Denton on Saturday, October 18, 2014; at 10:30 a.m. with visitation an hour before at 9:30 a.m. Graveside service will be in Decatur at Oakland Cemetery following the service.

Memorials may be given to the Building Generations Fund at First Baptist Church, 1100 Malone, Denton, Texas 76201.
