Sunrise: April 16, 1932

Sunset: October 17, 2014.

Orlan was born in Higgins, TX. He made a career in the military, serving in the Navy and retiring from the Air Force in 1978 as Master Sergeant. He then went to work at TDCJ/UTMB and retired in 1997. Orlan loved staying in touch with family and friends, carefully selecting greeting cards for each individual. His trademark was sending out "It's Coffee Time" emails and always signing his name with a smiley face in the O of his name. He had such courage and an unshakable faith in God. Almost everyone he met was greeted with a hug. Orlan didn't know how the narrative of his life would end, but he did choose how to live his life until the moment he met his Lord and Savior face-to-face. Orlan was a member of the HOPE Community Church of the Nazarene.

His beloved parents, Ross and Jennette Stucker; son, Charles B. Stucker; brothers - Roscoe, Francis and Wesley; and nephew Galen Koch, preceded Orlan in death.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 41 years, Susie Stucker. Five children - Ronnie Stucker (Kazuko), Patty Greenley (Duane), Danette Yell, Misuk Choi (Young Jin), and Steve Stucker; 10 grandchildren - Hajime Stucker (Erica), Jennifer Piano (David), Andy Stucker, Chris Greenley (Sarah), Brea Diorio (John); Caleb Yell, Emilie Yell, Esther Choi, Abygale Choi and Joseph Choi; 11 great-grandchildren - Tyler Stucker, Brittany Stucker, Matthias Piano, Elijah Piano, Alec Egan (Claire), Sophia Greenley, Daphne Greenley, Grace Diorio, John Diorio, Estelle Diorio and Livia Diorio; brother, Bobby Stucker; sisters, Darlene Chandler, Virginia Skeries and Carolyn Carlson; several nephews, nieces and cousins; and many friends who he cherished.

The family would like to thank all of Orlan's doctors and their staff, as well as Presbyterian Hospital of Denton, Vintage Health Care Center, Atrium Medical Center, Select Rehabilitation Hospital of Denton, and Faith Presbyterian Hospice for their treatment and loving care shown to him and his family.

Visitation will be at DeBerry Funeral Directors, 2025 West University Dr., Denton, on Tuesday, October 21, 2014from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
