TURRENTINE, Joe Max Joe Max Turrentine, 74, of Edmond, Ok, passed away October 27, 2014 embraced by his family and close friends. Joe was born September 5, 1940 in Tyler, Tx. to Mac and Dee Turrentine. Joe graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School (Dallas) in 1959. He attended Baylor University and then retired from Economics Laboratory after 20 years of service. After retirement he owned several businesses including, Lonnie's Paint and Body Shop in Shawnee, Ok., Ardmore Cleaners in Ardmore, Ok. and finally in 1997 founded Legacy Cleaners in Edmond, Ok, where he worked for several years even after retiring once again in 1999. In 1963 Joe married his High School sweetheart Sandra. In 1974 they moved from Dallas, Tx. to Edmond, Ok. Shortly after Joe and Sandra built their dream home in Deer Creek where they raised their three sons. Joe was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Sandra for over 51 years, his three sons, Brent, wife Christi and their three sons, Max, Beau and Rip. Monte, wife Eden and their daughter Caitlin, Chad, wife Laura. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday October 30, 2014 at Crossings Community Church Chapel with interment at Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home Edmond.
