If there’s one thing you should know about Yard House, opening in Addison this month, it’s that the bar will have 130 beers on tap. That’s a lot of beer.
Yard House will open Oct. 29 at Village on the Parkway, the shopping center at the southeast corner of the Dallas North Tollway and Belt Line Road. It will be North Texas’ first Yard House, though the chain has existing bars in Houston and San Antonio. You can also find Yard Houses in more than a dozen states.
Each one has a “glass-enclosed keg room, which is kept at a constant 34-36 degrees” and can hold 5,000 gallons of beer, according to a press release. The restaurant name comes from the way patrons can order beers: by the pint, 5-ounce “short,” or 32-ounce half-yard. Patrons can also order a “six pack,” which is a six-beer sampler with 5-ounce pours of each.
The Texas beer list will include pours from Deep Ellum, Real Ale and Lakewood, the release says.
See the restaurant’s extensive menu here, which includes vegetarian and gluten-sensitive menus. Yard House’s menu is mostly made up of bar food like pizzas and appetizers.
