The Board

Denton Drilling Awarness Group (DAG) is an incorporated non profit educational group recognized by the State of Texas. The DAG board members are all long time Denton residents.

 


Cathy McMullen, registered nurse
Cathy McMullen graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Texas Women’s University in Denton, Texas. She has worked as an ICU and Hospice nurse. Cathy is currently a home health nurse bringing medical care to individuals who are too ill to leave home. As well as being President of DAG, Cathy volunteers for the Denton Humane Society.

 

 


AdamAdam Briggle, UNT assistant professor
Professor Briggle’s research focuses on the intersections of science, technology, ethics, and policy. He is the author of A Rich Bioethics: Public Policy, Biotechnology, and the Kass Council (University of Notre Dame Press, 2010) and Ethics and Science: An Introduction (with Carl Mitcham, Cambridge: Cambridge University Press, 2012). He is also co-editor of The Good Life in a Technological Age (London: Routledge, 2012)

Carol and Ed Soph have lived in Denton for 27 years. Ed is a professor of Jazz Studies in the UNT College of Music.

RhondacropRhonda Love, retired professor
Rhonda Love, the Secretary of DAG, is a retired professor of public health with expertise in the determinants of health, and community development and health. She and her husband moved to Denton in 2009 to join other family members. Since that time she has been active in numerous community projects and, with two others, co-authored a paper on the public health effects of gas drilling.
