Shown is a composite sketch of a suspect that police are seeking in connection with three reported assaults in the past two months in Lewisville.

The Lewisville Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a man officers say could be linked to at least three assaults on women in the past two months.

The latest incident occurred at 9:50 p.m. Oct. 9 while a woman was crossing the Timber Creek bridge near the QuikTrip at 1701 S. State Highway 121 Business, according to police.

The woman was on her way to her residence south of Highway 121 and Valley View Lane. She reported being attacked by a Hispanic man and dragged underneath the bridge, according to a news release from the police department Friday.

Police said the woman struggled to free herself, cried for help and was dragged farther away.

Overheard voices of a potential witness crossing the bridge was what finally led the man to flee the scene on foot, police said.

The witness had heard the woman’s cries for help and was able to flag down a passerby who assisted by dialing 911, the release stated.

The woman was treated at the scene for minor injuries and released.

Police said the suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 20 to 30 years old and with a muscular build.

Police Capt. Dan Rochelle said two other cases similar to the Oct. 9 incident occurred in the same area within the last 60 days.

“We are not going to release the exact dates at this time,” he said.

All three incidents are being looked into as “assaults,” Rochelle said Friday.

Detectives say they believe the suspect in the latest offense could possibly be linked to the previous offenses as well.

Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in the composite sketch. If someone has any information, contact the Lewisville Police Department tip line at 972-219-8477.
