Police said intoxication marred a Denton couple’s early morning trip to a local restaurant Sunday.
Officers were dispatched to a welfare concern call at an eatery in the 1000 block of North Texas Boulevard.
The man told police that his girlfriend was highly intoxicated and jumped out of his truck and fell to the ground when he started the vehicle. After he attempted to pick her up, the man told police, his girlfriend began kicking at him and caused a minor laceration to his right cheek bone and bruising to left eye.
The woman was arrested on a charge of public intoxication, the report stated.
