Our competition to find Jacksonville's favorite food truck started heating up big time in the last round, with wild see-sawing back and forth in several brackets.

Not unexpectedly, given their strength in earlier rounds, two barbecue trucks — Monroe's Smokehouse and Smoke It Up — made it to the quarterfinal round ... and with Bacon and Butts also making it through, the possibility of an epic smoked meat finale seems possible.

Meanwhile, The Happy Grilled Cheese was the biggest vote getter in the Sweet & Salty 16, pulling in more than 400 happy foodies.

Here's the complete list of Elite Ate competitors:

  • Baby's Badass Burgers
  • Backyard Pops
  • Bacon and Butts
  • Chew Chew Food Truck
  • Monroe's Smokehouse Bar-B-Q & Catering
  • Smoke it up BBQ
  • Taco Lu
  • The Happy Grilled Cheese

Voting will run through the weekend, and we'll unveil the final four contestants on Monday. ( For official rules, click here.) To vote, click here or use the link below.

Happy eating!
