I really don’t get the point you’re making here. It looks to me that these companies donated money that will improve the community and you are unhappy about it.?.?.
That money is greasing the way so they can come in and pollute the community. Pretty soon that won’t seem like much money at all.
That amount of money is just peanuts to Big Gas. Why, at the executive dining hall, they spill more than that before the second course! ha.
Those “peanuts” will go a lot further than the amount that they are required to donate, which is nada. Have you been to any high school football games lately? Or hell, even in the last 5 years? There are more names next to the score boards and and all around the fields from the oil and gas industry that have donated money to athletic programs than anything else.
