Eric Clapton Wrote a Song for Jack Bruce

Jack Bruce, who died Saturday at 71, was a multi-talented musician with a long and varied career, but he is still probably most famous for the work he did in the late 1960s as the bassist and lead vocalist for Cream.

The day after he died, his Cream bandmate Eric Clapton posted an instrumental track on Facebook with the simple note, “for Jack.........ec.” You can hear it via Stereogum below.
