Fit to Be Tried: Comparing Fitbit and Garmin’s Vivofit

A few Fit to be Trieds ago, I tossed the way of movie critic Chris Vognar the Vivofit that the Garmin people had so kindly loaned me to try. I already had plenty of items on my wrists; among them, my Garmin Forerunner 10, my Road ID (which I have since lost, alas), my very own Fitbit and the aforementioned Vivofit. Oh, and clipped onto my waistband is a now defunct iPod., the model of which I buy from one of our techno wizards here.

So when Chris mentioned he’d like to give a fitness tracker a try, I snapped off my Vivofit and tossed it to him. Though it took him a few weeks to get his laptop updated so it would work, he is now rather hooked, which I figured he would be.

He also tracks his calories, using My Fitness Pal In fact, he’s lost two pounds in about a week, which is rather sensible rate to lose.

But that’s enough from me. Watch the video and see what YOU think.
