Texas Turnpike Corp. is developing the Texas Northeast Gateway Project, a limited-access tollway facility that will meet transportation needs identified by the Blacklands Corridor Feasibility Study, conducted by the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG).  Texas Turnpike Corp., under the guidance of the  Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will conduct studies concerning the feasibility, route or alignment and environmental impact of the project.
