Ottawa police: We are looking for additional suspects

(CNN) – A police spokesman says there is definitely more than one person involved in Wednesday's Ottawa shooting, and that they are looking for additional suspects.

"We have to apprehend and arrest the people that are involved in this morning's incident, and at this time we don't have these people," said Constable Chuck Benoit.

Canada's past battles with terror

(CNN) – The FBI is on alert after shots were fired in and near Canada's Parliament building Wednesday.

A member of the Canadian Armed Forces is dead, along with one gunman, and police in Canada are not ruling out more suspects.

This is the second time this week that the Canadian military became a target. On Monday, suspected ISIS supporter Martin Rouleau ran a car into two Canadian soldiers in Quebec, killing one.

In Canada Parliament attack, soldier shot, killed - one suspect also dead

(CNN) - Shots that rang out in the Canadian capital Wednesday left a soldier and a gunman dead, a city on lockdown, and a series of questions about security threats facing the nation.

Parliament member Kyle Seeback called it a "horrific day."

And it may not be over yet.

Authorities haven't ruled out the possibility that an additional shooter could be on the loose. And Ottawa Police Constable Chuck Benoit told CNN that there was more than one person involved in the shootings.
