Grabovski suffered the injury after taking a heavy hit from San Jose Sharks forward John Scott in a game on Oct. 16.

Initially, it was reported the Islanders forward didn’t have a concussion, however two days later there was a report that Grabovski was experiencing concussion symptoms.

From NHL.com:

Grabovski sustained a concussion in a victory against the San Jose Sharks on Oct. 16. He would be eligible to return to the ice Friday. Grabovski has two goals and three points in four games this season.

Also on Wednesday, the Islanders placed Colin McDonald on waivers.
