Video: Pittsburgh pays tribute to Ottawa tragedy with O Canada rendition

Emotional scene prior to tonight’s Flyers-Penguins game at Consol, as the Pittsburgh faithful — led by anthem singer Jeff Jimerson — paid tribute to today’s shootings at the Canadian Parliament in Ottawa with a stirring rendition of O Canada:
Cpl. Nathan Cirillo, 24, has been identified as the Canadian soldier slain outside of the National War Memorial.

People are so quick to forget how we stood arm in arm during WWI and WWII. As a dual citizen myself, I prefer to see both countries work together and respect each other during times like these.
All the anonymous trolls are pampered idiots who wouldn’t have lasted 30 minutes in Europe during those wars. So shut your pie holes

Very nice gesture by the Penguins tonight, it took me a minute to really register that it was unusual for them to be playing the Canadian anthem.
