    Jefferson County Circuit Judge Jim Hughey on Wednesday afternoon issued a ruling granting a dismissal of the lawsuit at the request of the hospital, the Urology Centers of Alabama, the Simon-Williamson Clinic and three doctors.     Police at the scene said the victim and a companion were traveling on separate motorcycles at a high rate of speed when one of them crashed shortly after 7 p.m. Police said they were both in the inside westbound lane of Mastin Lake Road when they came up behind a pickup truck in their lane that was also moving westbound. Officers said the victim was going too fast and couldn't brake or get out of the way in time. He crashed into the rear of the truck and was thrown from his bike just before the Jordan Lane intersection. Full story »
