Pretty in purple: Lily Collins steals the show in ombre gown as Love, Rosie premieres at Rome Film Festival
The young actress looked beautiful in a dark purple and lilac couture gown as she attended the eighth Rome Film Festival
Actress Lily Collins stole the red carpet when her new film Love, Rosie premiered at the Rome Film Festival on Sunday.
The Irish rom-com, which has already premiered in London, took to Rome to debut at the film festival and Lily’s co-star Sam Claflin and the movie's director Christian Ditter were on hand to celebrate.
Collins, the daughter of Genesis musician Phil Collins, looked radiant in an Elie Saab Haute Couture purple gown. The dress was strapless and featured a bodice top with a dark purple to light lavender ombre at the train of the dress.
During the promo for the film, the 25-year-old actress spoke out about her chemistry with co-star and movie love interest, Sam Claflin.
She told The Edit, designer fashion site Net-a-Porter’s magazine: “We were forced into a room together for a 'chemistry test' because the director wanted to get a feel for how we would get on. There had been so many near attempts of us meeting and working together before, and we have so many mutual friends, that it felt right immediately.”
Love, Rosie is out in UK cinemas on the 22nd of October.
