Ottawa shooting witness: He swung the rifle in our direction

Scott Walsh was near the war memorial during today's shooting. He spoke to Anderson about the moment the gunman raised his rifle and everyone around him hit the deck. Walsh says the shooter tried to hijack a car at gunpoint. He also describes seeing a man dressed in a similar scarf as the gunman, but this man acted "as if nothing was going on."

Officials say that a Canadian-born convert to Islam with a decade-long criminal record was responsible for today's shooting inside Canada's main Parliament building. A soldier at a nearby war memorial was killed, three other people were wounded. Randi Kaye looks at how today's tragedy unfolded.

Calls for justice in Ferguson are growing louder. Leaked details about the shooting of Michael Brown are adding to tensions that have rocked the city for more than two months. Missouri's Governor announced plans to create a commission to examine the social and economic conditions fueling the outrage. Sara Sidner speaks to Pastor Osagyefo Ohuru Sekou, who has been arrested twice for protesting in Ferguson.

Could these leaks be a strategic attempt to soften the blow in the event that there is no indictment of Officer Wilson? Anderson asked CNN legal analysts Sunny Hostin and Mark O'Mara, along with St. Louis Alderman Antonio French.

Indiana Police search for more victims in suspected serial killer case

Police in Indiana are searching for more remains after arresting 43-year-old Darren Vann, who they believe is a serial killer. He led them to the bodies of six women, after admitting to the murder of a 19-year-old at a motel last Friday. Poppy Harlow rides along with police and looks at Vann's troubled history.

The Ebola outbreak has given some people license to let their conspiracy flags fly. That includes an anti-vaccine activist blaming drug companies, a Liberian newspaper blaming the U.S., even a Republican Congressman who claims that Ebola entered the U.S. because President Obama wanted it to. Anderson Cooper is Keeping Them Honest.
Republican Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn has called for a travel ban from the Ebola hot zone to try to stop the disease from entering the U.S. Anderson discussed it with her and Chief Medical Correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta.

New details of Ferguson shooting 

A grand jury is hearing testimony about the shooting of 18-year-old Michael Brown and will decide whether to file criminal charges against Officer Darren Wilson. Now U.S. law enforcement sources tell CNN that Brown's blood was found on Wilson's gun, inside his car and on his uniform. Sarah Sidner has more on these new details.
What does this new information tell us about what is going on behind closed doors in the grand jury room? Anderson discussed it with CNN legal analyst Mark Geragos and David Klinger, a criminal justice professor at the University of Missouri – St. Louis.
