Two Dallas-area Fiat dealers were among 82 in the United States to receive the first Alfa Romeo franchises.

Fiat of McKinney and Holt Fiat of Fort Worth will be able to sell the limited-production, high-profile Alfa Romeo 4C coupe later this year, according to Automotive News.

The two-seat, mid-engine coupe will be sold in limited numbers in North America, with each new dealer receiving a special “Launch Edition” of the 4C, Automotive News said.

The car is already available in Europe. The storied Alfa Romeo brand, a division of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, only expects to sell about 1,500 4Cs a year in the U.S.

A mid-size sedan is expected to go into production next year and arrive in the U.S. in late 2016.

The 2,200 pound 4C, powered by a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, is expected to cost about $60,000.

“Each Alfa Romeo dealer will have a unique staff dedicated to the brand’s premium market clientele,” Peter Grady, Chrysler’s head of network development, said in a statement today.

Grady said the Alfa Romeo network in the U.S. could eventually grow to more than 300 dealerships.
