Italian cafe to open in West Dallas foodie development Sylvan Thirty

Bottega Italia's back patio looks over a green area in the middle of Sylvan Thirty. Its front door looks out on Sylvan Avenue, near its intersection with Interstate 30.

Construction on the buildings in West Dallas’ Sylvan Thirty development is almost complete, and now names of who will be inhabiting those storefronts between Interstate 30 and Fort Worth Avenue are starting to trickle in. Besides a family-owned grocery called Cox Farms Market (now open) and chef Teiichi Sakurai’s ramen shop Ten (coming soon), Sylvan Thirty will have a cafe, market and coffee/wine bar called Bottega Italia.

(And our critic was just saying we are in need of more Italian food in Dallas.)

Bottega Italia will be run by chef Daniele Puleo, who owns Inzo Italian Kitchen in Fort Worth and Roanoke. He previously owned now-closed Daniele Osteria.

The restaurant will have a 2,200-square foot patio and is slated to open in December, according to a Sylvan Thirty spokesperson.

Expect pizzas and sandwiches, a deli counter and market with pastas, olive oils, vinegars and more, and pastas and prepared foods. Bottega will also have beer and wine for sale and a Lavazza coffee bar. Chef Puleo also plans to host wine and cheese tastings and cooking classes.

Developer Brent Jackson told me in April that Sylvan Thirty’s mission is to bring in artisan shops and chef-driven restaurants. So, who’s next?
