A bright-red-tiled wood-burning pizza oven is the focal point for Jay Jerrier’s Deep Ellum pizzeria, and from that oven comes pizza that can be absolutely brilliant, made according to the requirements of the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana. However, the pizzeria became hugely popular after being featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, and there’s been a drop in quality since. In any case, don’t miss the zeppole for dessert. Open only for brunch on Sunday, open only for dinner Monday. Lunch and dinner Tuesday-Friday; brunch and dinner on Saturday. Beer and wine.
