Crosland Southeast will unveil its new vision for the old Bellevue Center mall property in a community meeting next month.

Those plans are expected to include residential, retail and civic uses, Sheri Weiner, the area's Metro councilwoman, told The Tennessean.

Several plans to redevelop the property have come and gone over the years, a fact not lost on Weiner.

"We've had so many fits and starts and stops that people are really hesitant to embrace the possibility that this could be first step in terms of dirt turning," Weiner told The Tennessean. Currently, only Sears continues to operate at the mall property.

Next month's community meeting is set for Nov. 13.
