Target Corp. said it will offer free shipping for all online orders starting today, one of several promotions the retailers plans to juice year-end sales.

The Wall Street Journal reports on the move, which gets Minneapolis-based Target out in front of rivals like Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and Best Buy Co. Inc. when it comes to online holiday offers. Target has offered free shipping for orders over $50 for months, and customers using its store-branded credit or debit cards don't have to pay shipping fees. But the new offer takes it a step further.

You can see the full details on the offer in Target's official statement of its holiday plans.
