Former Dallas Stars All-Star goaltender Marty Turco has been hired by a Denver-based real estate investment firm as part of its strategy to grow its portfolio in the southwest United States.
Baceline Investments, a retail real estate investment firm, has named Turco director of business development.
Turco began working with Baceline a year ago as a business consultant and was charged with connecting the firm to new capital and real estate relationships. From there, Turco opened the firm's new Dallas office, with plans to expand its holdings in the Lone Star state.
"A key focus for Baceline Investments has been to grow our presence in the Southwest — particularly Dallas and Houston — and Marty Turco's presence and approach will help us do that," said David Puchi, a principal at the firm, in a statement.
"Because of his unique connection to the Dallas area, Marty brings a distinctive skill-set to our firm and will help expand client outreach," Puchi added.
Throughout his nine-year career with the Stars, Turco built a reputation with fans, teammates and the Dallas community. That reputation is something Baceline hopes to leverage as it expands its Texas holdings.
