Zaxby's will be the new title sponsor for the Heart of Dallas Bowl to be played Dec. 26 at the Cotton Bowl stadium in Dallas' Fair Park.

The announcement of the sponsorship deal was made Tuesday morning. Zaxby's is a chain of chicken finger and wings restaurants with 640 locations in 15 states.

The bowl game will be called the Zaxby's Heart of Dallas Bowl. The game is owned by ESPN Regional Television, a subsidiary of ESPN.

"We believe the sponsorship of a national bowl will allow our loyalists as well as our new fans to connect with us on an even bigger playing field," said Zach McLeroy, CEO and co-founder of Zaxby's

The sponsorship will be for four years through the 2017 game, with an option to extend for a longer time, the network said.

This year, the game will be broadcast on ESPN for the first time. The previous four Heart of Dallas Bowls were broadcast on ESPNU. It will feature a team from Conference USA and from the Big 10 conference.
