Analysts expect rising Q3 results from Boeing

Driven by improved delivery numbers, analysts are looking for solid gains when the Boeing Co. reports its third-quarter financial results Wednesday morning.

The average estimate among 21 analysts calls for revenues of $23.02 billion, or earnings per share of $1.98 for the quarter, up from Boeing's reported revenues of $22.13 billion and EPS of $1.80.

Boeing (NYSE: BA) reported earlier this month that its third-quarter commercial aircraft deliveries rose from 170 to 186 year over year.

Boeing stock was up 2.82 percent on Tuesday to $127.11 in afternoon trading.

Spirit AeroSystems Inc. (NYSE: SPR) in Wichita has work on all Boeing commercial products.
