The directors of the Golden Gate Bridge District are considering a plan to charge pedestrians and bicyclists to cross the world famous span.
The 19-member district board of directors will discuss the proposal at its meeting on Friday, according to a story in the San Francisco Chronicle.
How much the toll would be and how it would be collected hasn't been detailed yet.
If approved, the fee would begin in July 2017.
The proposal is part of a 45-point, five-year plan to help the district erase a $33 million budget deficit.
