We kicked off round three of our Food Madness competition with a narrowed-down vote on the best coffee in the Bay.
Fast-growing Philz Coffee has been strong in the polls since the get-go, and beat Henry's House of Coffee in this round 65 percent to 22 percent.
Oakland-based Blue Bottle faced off against coffee giant Peet's Coffee, and won. The expanding local chain beat Peet's, garnering with 49 percent of the vote. Peet's Coffee got 38 percent.
Next, earlier winners in the ice cream challenge will face off, including popular, local ice cream sandwich chain CREAM, San Francisco's Three Twins ice cream, It's-It, and Mission-based Bi-Rite Creamery.
