How satisfied are Americans with the federal income taxes they pay?  Find out tomorrow when AEI releases we release the April edition of AEI’s Political Report. Here’s a clue: attitudes on this question have changed significantly since Congress and the president last worked on a major tax overhaul in 1986. In the spring that year, 63% said their taxes were too high and a third said they were about right.

The issue also looks at how high a priority tax reform is, which party people think is better on taxes, and President Obama’s handling of the issue.
