Rendering of interior renovations planned at Grapevine Mills. Work on the shopping center will be done in four stages at night. It's expected to be completed in 2015.

Grapevine Mills is planning a major renovation that will be completed next year.

The mall said a total redo of all surfaces including flooring will cost several million dollars. Visual and structural improvements include entrance architectural facelifts, a reimagining of retail facades, new flooring, contemporary energy efficient lighting and new soft seating furniture groupings.

The mall was built in 1997 and carved up into numbered neighborhoods each with colorful décor to help people navigate the racetrack design.

The renovation will happen in four phases over the next year. Most of the work will be done when the center is closed.

The shopping center says its the largest outlet center in North Texas. It has 180 stores including Neiman Marcus Last Call and Saks Off 5th.
