Richardson responds to news about Ebola treatment center

Update at 2:30 p.m. The City of Richardson has issued a statement on Methodist Richardson Medical Center being named as one of two Ebola treatment facilities in Texas.

The statement said that the facilities will have specialized teams that will use the latest guidelines for treatment and the Richardson hospital will “provide a backup location for treatment. It is unknown when, or if, MRMC Campbell Road campus will receive any patients in the future.”

 

Breaking news: Richardson’s Methodist Richardson Medical Center will become one of two Ebola treatment centers in the state, Gov. Rick Perry announced today.

The center will be housed in the Campbell Road hospital’s continuing care facility.

The other treatment center will be in Galveston.
