Two businesses in running for state awards

Two Denton businesses — GSATi and Lone Star Attitude Burgers — are finalists for the Texas Downtown Association Presidents Awards Program.

Winners will be announced in November. There are two categories — cities under 50,000 people and those with more than 50,000 residents — for each award.

GSATi is one of two finalists for the Best Downtown Partner award, which recognizes businesses that contribute to revitalization efforts in the city.

Lone Star Attitude Burgers is one of two finalists for the Best Commercial Interior award, which recognizes excellence in merchandising, customer orientation and business functionality.

Voting continues until noon Wednesday at http://statictab.com/h6ypqtv.
