The Shore – New FUMC Denton Worship Experience

The Shore

Why The Shore?

In John 21, the apostle tells us after Jesus crucifixion, that seven of his disciples went back to their previous jobs as fishermen. Je-sus death had left them disillusioned and they went back to their everyday lives. Then Jesus appeared, on the shore.
He reclaimed his apostles and sent them back into the world, to make disciples. This is our story. We meet Jesus on The Shore, where he reclaims us and then sends us out in his name.

Every Sunday

The Shore is a worship experience that is unbounded by the structure of traditional or contemporary worship. Free flowing and engaging, with powerful and contemplative music, The Shore connects on a deeper and more personal level. At The Shore, we are about reigniting Christian relevance in our community. We meet Jesus in the Holy Spirit, and prayerfully prepare to go out into the world as the hands and feet of Christ. Worship at The Shore prepares us for another week of Christian mission in our everyday world.

Services are held at 5:00 pm in Flinn Hall.

The band is led by Chris Morphew, former leader of Denton Wesley Foundation’s praise band.
