A woman’s threat to burn down a house prompted a domestic disturbance call to police Monday morning.

Police said the 23-year-old woman went to her estranged husband’s house to pick up the couple’s two children and found no one at home.

The woman became upset when she couldn’t retrieve the two children and threatened to burn down the house, located in the 5300 block of East McKinney Street, according to the police report.

Police said the woman had a gas can, and officers photographed the can as evidence, according to the report.

The husband returned and she was finally able to visit the children, the report stated. The case has been referred to the city attorney’s office.
