Welcome to the Ragland Road Chronicle . . . reports and commentary on general issues related to gas drilling operations, and more specifically the Barnett Shale, the Chesapeake drill site on Ragland Road, and multiple wells within a one-mile radius of that site.

So pleased to see this sea change of opinion forming in Arlington, TX. Seems that Chesapeake’s business model might have a way of birthing new activists. Here’s hoping the Ragland Road Chronicle gains a wide readership to educate our communities about this entire process.
It seems that Chesapeake and Range have agreed to now work in conjunction with the EPA in their study of before and after Natural Gas extraction and fracking, the impact to the surrounding environment (in the past, both companies have refused to work with the EPA). Also, the location of where these tests are to take place, has not and will not be disclosed to the public. Based on all the activity, maybe you found the site in Arlington?
It was announced recently (maybe last week) that Range was going to allow them on one site in PA, I think it was. They announced the site.
Barnett Progressive website is promoting their endeavors like BP has done for PR purposes. It’s all about the money indeed. They state they are concerning about the enironoment, if that is the case Barnett, start by picking up the damn trash off our roadways. Texas has got to be the filthiest state in the union beside Mississippi. Americans are tolerant of the trash and debris on our raodways, it seems to be part and parcel of our culture. It is no wonder that Mexican Nationals want to come here to work. We have lots of garbage littering our environment just as they do.
