SAN FRANCISCO (CBSLA.com) — Bryan Stow, the San Francisco Giants fan who was severely beaten at Dodger Stadium in 2011, made a triumphant visit to the Giants’ clubhouse on Sunday.

San Jose Mercury News reports that Stow was jovial as he wheeled through the locker room at AT&T Park before Sunday’s game against Philadelphia.

City News Service reports that Stow was accompanied by his son, Tyler, and was greeted by several players including Jeremy Affeldt and Dave Righetti.

Coach Bruce Bochy told the newspaper that, “With all he’s been through, all his family’s been through, it’s great to have him here.”

Last month, Stow was awarded approximately $18 million in damages, including $4 million for pain and suffering, in a civil suit for negligence. The Los Angeles Dodgers LLC will be responsible for paying approximately $14 million of the overall amount.
