A man in his 20s was taken to an area hospital Thursday after rear-ending another vehicle, police said.
Officer Ryan Grelle, spokesman for the Denton Police Department, said the vehicles were traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 377 on Thursday afternoon when a man in his late 70s driving a Ford was attempting to make a left turn onto Brush Creek Drive.
According to police, as the vehicles behind the Ford were slowing down, a Harley-Davidson motorcycle driven by the man in his 20s attempted to make a legal pass of the vehicles in the northbound lanes.
Not knowing the Ford was attempting to make a left turn, police said the motorcyclist rear-ended the vehicle.
Grelle said the motorcycle rider was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
No additional information was available late Thursday afternoon, Grelle said.
