Blotter: Woman gets additional charge after arrest

Denton police pulled over a 51-year-old woman with four outstanding warrants Tuesday and found a controlled substance in her possession after she was taken to the city jail, according to a police report.

Police stopped the woman in the 400 block of Robertson Street, and she was taken to the city jail. During the booking process, police found the controlled substance, according to the report.

She was charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group two and booked into the jail.

200 block of Folly Beach Road — A radiator was reported missing from a vehicle in Denton County on Tuesday morning, according to a Denton County Sheriff’s Office report. The missing part was valued at more than $50 and less than $500, the report stated.

From 7 a.m. Tuesday to 7 a.m. Wednesday:

Denton County sheriff’s dispatchers handled 809 service and officer-initiated calls for the agencies they serve. Forty-six people were booked into Denton County Jail.

Denton police handled 326 service and officer-initiated calls and posted 17 reports online.

Denton firefighters responded to 30 medical calls, one grass fire, two vehicle accidents and assisted one agency.
