Liberal Judge Drives Ebola Exposed Family, Attends Presser Wearing Same Shirt

DALLAS, Texas -- Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins bragged to reporters about wearing the same shirt to the press conference he wore while he was, just thirty minutes earlier, driving the family exposed to the Ebola virus to their new secret luxury four-bedroom home. The international assembly of reporters were attending the Judge’s press conference in the Dallas County Administration Building formerly known as the Texas Schoolbook Depository. This is the same building from where Lee Harvey Oswald allegedly shot President John F. Kennedy.

Jenkins bragged to the reporters that he was “wearing the same shirt” he wore while he was in the apartment that had been exposed to the Ebola virus and while he was driving the family who had slept for days on the same mattresses the Ebola patient, Thomas Eric Duncan, had been sleeping. He slept on all three mattresses in the apartment for at least two days while he was symptomatic. Jenkins then very proudly stated he was going home to his wife and nine-year-old daughter.

Jenkins said he was in the closest proximity to the family while driving them to their new luxury four-bedroom home. He them flatly stated there was “zero risk” of exposure “if they are not symptomatic.” The family presumably had direct contact with Duncan after he became symptomatic and clearly someone in the apartment handled the sheets and towels he used while he was ill.

The family is in the first week of a twenty-one day incubation-observation period where they could possibly become symptomatic at any moment in time.

Jenkins has had frequent face-to-face contact with the family for the past couple of days. On Thursday night he stunned the Dallas press corps, who were camped out across the parking lot from Duncan’s apartment, when he walked into the apartment while not wearing any protective clothing.

On Friday, while hazmat experts were working inside the apartment wearing Tyvek bio-hazard suits, Jenkins again was seen going in and out of the apartment while not even wearing a mask or gloves.

Thomas Duncan had direct contact with a pregnant woman in Liberia who died from Ebola on the same night of his exposure.  Four other people who were with him that day are now dead from that Ebola exposure. A few days later he traveled to America on two airline flights while he was not symptomatic. He became symptomatic about six or seven days after entering the U.S.  This is about the same number of days the family in the apartment had been exposed when Jenkins began his direct contact with them.

The family is under a protection order from a court. The court ordered isolation to keep them from coming into contact with the general public. In was necessitated after the mother allegedly sent her children to school after being asked not to. In spite of this, Jenkins has repeatedly entered the home of this family and risked exposing himself, his co-workers and his wife and daughter to a deadly virus. Jenkins job requires him to be in contact with large numbers of people nearly every day.

The family is now safely isolated in a four-bedroom home that was donated by an unknown person. The home is located in a gated community. The home is located on many acres of land. The family will be allowed to be outside of the home, but not allowed to leave the property until their observation period is concluded and it is determined they are safe to be out in the general population.
