Former “Golden Boy” Banker Arrested

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – More trouble for the former “golden boy” banker.
Shaun Hayes, who grew Allegiant Bank from a tiny firm into one of the largest banks in the region, was arrested Tuesday morning.
Frontenac police say Hayes, who owns a $2.5 million home in Ladue, was arrested on a warrant from St. Louis County for criminal contempt of court and a warrant from Olivette for housing code violations.
Earlier this year, Hayes was banned from banking by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation following his involvement in several failed banks and numerous lawsuits.
