Transient Man’s Body Found In Popular Petaluma Park Tuesday Evening

PETALUMA (CBS SF) — A man was found dead in a Petaluma park Tuesday evening, according to police.
The body was reported at 8:05 p.m. in Cavanagh Landing on Weller Street, Petaluma police said.
The deceased man was a local transient whose name has been confirmed but will not be released until an autopsy is conducted and family members are notified, according to police.
Police detectives and a Sonoma County coroner’s crew responded to the scene and found no obvious signs of trauma or foul play.
