A gambling hall in Lowndes County has reopened after being shut down for two years by the state attorney general.

Southern Star Entertainment in White Hall is currently operating with games that the facility markets as bingo, according to a report from the Associated Press.

Located on U.S. 80, the gambling hall was reopened in 2012 before being raided by Attorney General Luther Strange's office in November, the report said.

The report said Southern Star is open seven days a week and is run by White Hall Enrichment Advancement Team charity.

Other gambling halls once shut down by the attorney general's office are also reopened in places like Greene County, the report said.
