If there is one thing learned from the Great Chicken Disputation of the Summer of 2012, it is that we seem to have lost the ability to reason with one another on the most important topics facing our culture. Have the great debates of our day really been reduced to “the person with the best meme wins?”

Without delving into the substance of the debate, we will examine just what this summer’s Chik Fil-A controversy tells us about the possibility of discourse in society today.
