Canadian keyboardist and composer Chris d’Eon performs his own suite of his compositions (Suite No. 1 in F major and E minor & Suite No. 2 in A minor) inspired by Baroque dance suites, as well as Cory Arcangel’s Dances For The Electric Piano (Dance No. 1, 2, 6, 10, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 24, & 22 as interpreted by Chris d’Eon). Through Fire and Flames

Please join me Thursday, Sept 25th, from 6-830pm at PS1 for the opening of the New York Art Book fair for the launch (and signing) of my monograph from last Spring / Winter, All The Small Things, published by Walther König, Köln, designed by the great David Yun (Wax mag), with pics by Sasha Maric and now (finally) available in the USA. This launch seemed like a good occasion for Arcangel Surfware pop-up #2, so that’s happening as well, so do def stop by. And since all Arcangel Surfware pops ups have a title, this one is called “Through Fire and Flames”. It will make more sense when u see it. Also, I have made just for this occasion a limited edition print U CAN ONLY PICK UP there. So lotsa good stuff, one night only.

The New York one centers on a new series of works called Lakes (which u may have seen images of), and the LA one is a bit more scattered. Actually, ... still working on the LA one as I type this, but please do try to check one or the other out. Been grinding on these all summer. wink

Arcangel Surfware Dot Biz

I know this is a bit late in coming, and many of you have already seen it, but I am super pumped to present arcangelsurfware.biz, the official Arcangel Surfware website. For those just joining in, Arcangel Surfware is a mainstream non-aspirational activewear and merchandise line designed by myself in collaboration with global merchandise giant, The Bravado Group, a division of Universal Music Group. The tag line is, ..... “everything you need to chill in bed all day and surf the net”. So do please check out the site, there is already lots there. The most important part, LOL, is the web store. I have gotten a ton of emails over the year from old school fans of this site about when I would re-open my webstore, well,.... HERE IT IS!!!!~~~~~ Took me 8 years, but I finally got around to it, and now its even branded!

You Only Live Once

You Only Live Once Saturday, May 17, 2-9 p.m.

Holiday Inn, Soho 138 Lafayette Street, New York, NY

*With DJ sets by Slava and BFFA3AE, 6 till 9

On Saturday, May 17th, artist Cory Arcangel (aka me, sorry, just copy and pasted this from the surfware site ... uuuugh ... lol ) will debut Arcangel Surfware, a new clothing and lifestyle merchandise line in a one-day-only pop-up store and exhibition, “You Only Live Once,” designed by the artist (again, ... me) at the Holiday Inn New York-Soho. Arcangel Surfware products consist of everything one needs to “chill” in bed all day and surf the Internet in comfort: sweat pants, sweat shirts, bed sheets, pillow covers, iPad and iPhone covers, magazines, and music.

“You Only Live Once” will feature the first line of Arcangel Surfware, produced in partnership with the global music merchandising company Bravado, alongside an installation of new work by the artist.

“You Only Live Once” is Arcangel’s ( ..) first one-person exhibition featuring new work in the U.S. since his 2011 exhibition at the Whitney Museum of American Art. With support from: Universal Music Group, Bravado International Group, Team Gallery, Lisson Gallery, WAX Magazine, & Are.na.
