The Office of Elections Administrator was created by the Collin County Commissioners Court on Aug. 18, 1980, pursuant to Section 31.031 of the Texas Election Code​. The duties of the Elections Administrator are to facilitate voter registration and conduct elections.

Photo ID FAQs

NOTICE: Photo Identification Required for Voting in Person

Voters are now required to present an approved form of photo identification in order to vote in person in all Texas Elections. View the Photo ID Informational Flyer or visit votetexas.gov for more information.

Identification must be current or have expired no more than 60 days before being presented for voter qualification at the polling place; except for the United States citizenship certificate.
