Save Energy Now

Save Energy Now is part of the national Easy Ways to Save Energy campaign that was launched to help Americans save energy and money when energy prices are high. Save Energy Now is designed to provide industry assistance with saving energy and money while increasing productivity. As part of this initiative, the U.S. Department of Energy is conducting energy saving assessments at 200 manufacturing plants around the country.

Industry Plant Managers and Engineers: Lower Your Energy Bills

This site from DOE's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy provides plant managers and engineers with tips and resources to save energy now without making complicated or expensive changes, particularly for those with combustion systems, steam generation systems, and process heating systems. Also available are examples of companies that have made energy-saving changes, information about assessment opportunities, and guidance for developing an action plan.

BestPractices

BestPractices from the DOE's Industrial Technologies Program provides information on energy management principles, techniques, and practices, and works with industry to implement these. The BestPractices program is designed to provide technical assistance that meets the diverse needs of various industries. Industry leaders can learn about opportunities for industrial assessments, as well as emerging technologies that improve efficiency and product quality.

ENERGY STAR® for Industry

ENERGY STAR can provide businesses and industrial plants with assistance in developing a corporate energy management program. Manufacturing plants can enter into partnerships with ENERGY STAR in which ENERGY STAR helps the plant meet its goals for emissions, efficiency, and energy management. The site provides a variety of tools to help industry leaders identify ways to save energy.

Energy e-newsletter from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development

Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP)
